New York Convention (Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards (New York, 1958) is widely considered the foundational instrument for international arbitration. The number of the contracting parties of New York Convention now reaches to 159. The first arbitral award in Mainland China recognized and enforced outside China in accordance with New York Convention was rendered by the SCIA in 1989 at Shenzhen. Since then, the Chinese arbitral awards have gone abroad. Under the "One Belt One Road" background, the special role of New York Convention is becoming even more prominent.

联合国《承认及执行外国仲裁裁决公约》（即《纽约公约》）是目前国际上关于承认和执行仲裁裁决的最重要的公约，缔约国达159个，在国际商事仲裁领域具有积极重要的地位。深圳国际仲裁院在1989年开创了中国仲裁裁决依据《纽约公约》在境外获得承认与执行的先例，从此中国仲裁裁决走出国门。在“一带一路”背景下，《纽约公约》的特殊作用更加突显。

To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of New York Convention, the SCIA and the UNCITRAL-RCAP will co-host a conference on 15 May 2018 (Tuesday) at Shenzhen. The theme of this conference is 60th Anniversary of New York Convention & One Belt One Road.

今年适逢《纽约公约》六十周年，深圳国际仲裁院（SCIA）与联合国国际贸易法委员会亚太区域中心（UNCITRAL-RCAP）将于2018年5月15日（星期二）在深圳联合举办主题为《纽约公约》六十周年与“一带一路”研讨会。
